Comments given by the police and forensic detectives have confirmed that the body itself was rendered unrecogniseable, no doubt through the forty-eight hours of torture Almasy is suspected of having gone through before his eventual death - details let slip include bones shattered to chalk, castration, and possible sodomization, though the nature of the 'foreign object' has not, as yet, been released to the press...

"It was like walking into Hannibal's workshop," one detective told reporters after having seen the murder scene. "Nearly thirty years on this job, and I've never seen anything like it. We had to identify him by his dental records; and even that was tricky - his jaw was broken into bits with all the rest."
