He enjoys doing things for other people and in high school was the "king" of a Host Club focused on doing things for ladies of the school. Coming from the highly acclaimed Ouran High School, Dusk seems much more like a Commoner school to Tamaki, but that's all right since he wants to know more about Commoners anyway! [ Appearance ] – Tamaki is, to put it very shortly, quite handsome. He's six feet tall, with violet-blue eyes and blond hair parted to one side. Bangs hang into his face in a rather attractive manner and he smiles easily. He was born in France and is half Japanese and half French. So far as clothing, Tamaki (when not in any number of random costumes) tends to wear either his school uniform or any number of very stylish outfits. Some of these outfits are meant to make him "blend in with commoners" but they don't really succeed thanks to the expensive nature of the fabric and accessories. [ Personality ] – Tamaki is a very outgoing and generally happy person. He sparkles on a regular basis and will quite literally chase after anyone he decides that he likes - be they friend or romantic interest. He's also a natural leader, the original founder of the Host Club in the world he comes from. The Host Club itself shows that Tamaki is good at bringing together people of all different personality types and somehow making it all work. However, Tamaki is also very quick to angst and get upset - even if it's only for a matter of seconds (as happens most of the time). As fast as he gets depressed, he can bounce back just as quickly - especially if he gets what he wants. In cases like this, I quite suspect his pouting and angst is more of an act than anything else. [ History ] – Tamaki, as is mentioned earlier, was actually born in France and then grew up mostly in Japan. His birth was the center of a controversy in his family - as his father basically had an affair with Tamaki's mother and then divorced his legal wife when the child was born. Because of this, Tamaki's grandmother (the head of the family) bears a grudge against him and refuses to allow him to live in the family's main residence or see his mother - though she does acknowledge him as a Suou because he is the only heir to the family company and fortune. Because of the strained relationships in his family, Tamaki often stayed home as a young child - playing the piano to comfort his mother rather than going out and making friends with other children his age. It was only after he was taken away from his mother and began living with his father in Japan that he opened up more and started making friends. While still in middle school, Tamaki began to plan the formation of the Host Club - the organization his life mostly centered around in high school. He found several candidates he thought would make good "hosts" and approached them in a variety of ways - eventually convincing them all to join his little project. The Host Club thus became a sort of surrogate family for him - which is perhaps part of the reason he insisted on calling Haruhi his "daughter", though he obviously felt more of a romantic affection for her. A part of him could easily feel like admitting to this affection could break apart his "family" - causing him to lose his support group for the second time in his young life. Haruhi, a girl initially mistaken for a boy (with Tamaki the last one to notice said mistake) was all-but Tamaki's girlfriend in high school. Through a series of events, she ended up joining the all-boy Host Club - as she claimed it doesn't matter if one is a girl or a boy - even in such a situation as she found herself in. [ Pets ] – None, at the moment [ Other ? ] – Tamaki doesn't really have any weapons that he owns or uses, though it's entirely possible that he knows the basics of sword-play at the very least.
